Israel Legacy Central’s inaugural workshop was held in Tel Aviv in 2016

In November of 2016, Israel Legacy Central celebrated its official launch with our first Legacy Giving workshop, which took place in Tel Aviv, Israel.

The workshop brought together over 20 Israel nonprofit to learn about how their organizations can benefit from Legacy Giving. The event was a resounding success and, for many of the attendees, represented their first formal education on the topic of Legacy programming of nonprofits.

The event was spearheaded by coordinated by Midot and featured a keynote address by Israel Legacy Central founder, Carol Karsch. At the event, Carol spoke for over an hour and gave an in-depth overview of each key aspect of Legacy planning and advice on how philanthropic professionals in Israel can implement their own programs.

In addition to the keynote address, other speakers included Guy Beigel (CEO of Midot), Eli Clark (a nonprofit and international tax law expert), and Lisa Silverman (a consultant.) The topics covered included Legacy basics, building the proper organizational structure, cultivating donor relationships and tips on how to effectively promote Legacy to donors.
